This class was developed based on the overwhelming need for a standardized training curriculum for these devices, as no such class currently exists.
Students who attend the class and pass the examination will receive a certificate of attendance. The class typically runs for about 4 hours.

- Types of Professional Use Only devices
- Selecting appropriate sites to use Professional Use Only devices
- Setting up Professional Use Only devices
- Firing methods
- Shooting precautions
- Safety precautions
- Storage
- Transportation

Anyone of any age may attend the PGI AP classroom and exam portion of the class and may observe the demos but must be 18 to participate in the live-fire portion of the class.
You do not have to be a PGI member to take the online Articles Pyrotechnic Training course—although we welcome your support and fellowship!
