Items students should bring Each participant must bring safety glasses, a head covering or hard hat, hearing protection, and wear cotton clothing with long sleeves and long pants (turnout gear is acceptable). Flame retardant layers and boots are recommended for the outdoor portion of the class. Hot, cold, wet, windy weather and/or muddy ground is always possible in Colorado, so be prepared. It is highly recommended to bring a pen, pencil, clip board or other hard surface to write on, highlighter, and paper for taking notes as we typically don’t have tables. A water bottle and anything else you feel you might need to be comfortable is advisable. We will be in a barn and outside.
