CSAE Policy

Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE) Policy

Effective date: February 11, 2026
Last updated: February 11, 2026

Service: Pyrotechnics Guild International online services (the “PGI Services”), including community features on pgi.org and PGI mobile experiences.

1) What this policy covers

PGI Services include community and sharing features such as:
  • Forums (including attachments uploaded in forum posts)
  • Direct messages / private conversations
  • Media Gallery uploads (photos, video, and audio)
  • User profiles, comments, and related community interactions

2) Our rule: no child sexual exploitation on PGI

Any content or behavior that sexually exploits, endangers, or targets a minor is not allowed. For this policy, a minor is anyone under 18.
If we become aware of suspected CSAM/CSAE, we treat it as urgent and may remove content and permanently disable accounts without warning.

3) Prohibited content and behavior

The following are prohibited anywhere on PGI Services, including posts, attachments, gallery items, comments, profile content, usernames/avatars, and private messages:
A) CSAM and sexualized content involving minors
  • Any depiction of a minor in sexually explicit conduct.
  • Sexualized or “suggestive” depictions of minors, even if framed as humor, art, “awareness,” or otherwise.
  • Requests for CSAM or offers to trade, share, or distribute it (including links).
B) Grooming, solicitation, and coercion
  • Grooming a minor (including attempts to move communications off-platform).
  • Sexual solicitation of a minor (requests for photos, sexual chat, roleplay, etc.).
  • Sextortion or coercion involving a minor.
C) Targeting or sexualizing minors
  • Sexual commentary, fantasies, or “jokes” about minors.
  • Content that encourages or normalizes attraction to minors.
D) Harmful identification of minors
  • Posting a minor’s personal information in a way that can put them at risk, especially alongside allegations or sexualized content.

4) If you see it: how to report on PGI

PGI relies on member reports and human review. We do not claim to scan or automatically detect CSAE/CSAM.
In-product reporting (preferred)
On the PGI website, you may report content using the built-in Report option on the relevant item (for example: a forum post, a gallery media item, a profile post, or an individual message within a conversation).
When reporting, include:
  • what makes the content concerning,
  • whether you believe a minor is involved,
  • any relevant context (e.g., usernames, thread links, media item links).
Email reporting (always available)
Email [email protected] with:
  • a link (URL) to the forum post / gallery item / profile / conversation message (or enough detail for us to locate it),
  • the username(s) involved,
  • approximate date/time,
  • a brief description of what you observed.
Do not attach or forward illegal images/videos. If you include a screenshot, capture the page context and avoid redistributing unlawful media.
Immediate danger
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first, then notify PGI so we can act on the account/content.

5) What PGI does after a report

After receiving a report, PGI may:
  • remove or restrict access to content (including attachments and media),
  • lock threads or disable posting in affected areas,
  • suspend or terminate accounts,
  • preserve relevant records needed to address the report and comply with applicable law.
We prioritize reports involving CSAM, grooming, coercion/sextortion, or credible imminent risk.

6) Reporting to authorities and legal compliance (U.S.)

CSAM is illegal. U.S. law establishes reporting obligations for covered providers after obtaining “actual knowledge” of certain CSAM-related facts/circumstances and also states it does not require providers to monitor users or communications.
When required, reports are made to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children CyberTipline or appropriate authorities.

7) Age requirement and COPPA

PGI Services are intended for users 13 and older.
  • Under 13: a user under 13 may only create an account or use PGI community features if PGI receives verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information, consistent with Children's Online Privacy Protection Act guidance published by the Federal Trade Commission.
  • PGI may disable accounts if age/consent requirements cannot be satisfied.

8) Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:
  • content removal,
  • feature restrictions (e.g., messaging limitations),
  • temporary suspension,
  • permanent account termination.
CSAM and child sexual exploitation typically result in immediate permanent termination.
