At every convention, there are a large variety of seminars and workshops that
appeal to all members of the Guild and their families. The content of the
presentations ranges from simple to complex, from party favors for children of
all ages to advanced multi-break shell construction.
The preliminary schedule and pre-registration info is provided in the July
Bulletin as well as on-line at this site. This site will be updated as changes
occur. A final schedule of events will be listed in the convention program
and in the hotel lobby.
Early registration will be available for some classes that have a fee and
limited class size, but not all. On site registration is available on the first
and second day of the convention. Only classes that require a fee and are
limited in size require any form of registration and most, but not all, allow
preregistration of up to 50% of the available spots. Most seminars and
workshops are show up and enjoy. Do not feel that you are missing out if a
few workshops fill up. Some always do but most are not limited in size.
Please click on the link to the schedule to see if there is preregistration or
not.
The very few that do allow 50% preregistration can be registered by email
request to Seminars@pgi.org between July
26th and August 1st. Include the names of each person to be registered and
the workshops that person is registering for. Registration is on a first
come, first served basis. Please check the preliminary event schedule in the
Bulletin or here online to see if the workshop you want to attend even allows
preregistration.
The PGI shooter’s certification class is always held on Wednesday of
convention week. Remember that renewals of certifications are required with
continuing education.
2010 will have an amazing number of hands-on workshops, as well as a typical
array of other classes. There will be lots for people to see, things to do and
enjoy. Please look to be a part of the 2010 PGI convention!
It is never too late to add a seminar. Seminar presenters need to apply
present a seminar. Clearly identify what live material you will be using
(if any) and identify the time you need to present your seminar. All
subjects and ideas are welcome and all must be approved by the Safety Team.
