Each of the four display nights will present unique, not to be missed, display of pyrotechnic artistry percisely choregraphed to a wide range music. We'll show Mason City something it's never seen before.

Gates Open at 6 pm

Displays will start at 8:30 pm on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, while Friday's show starts at 8 pm. Please plan to arrive early. You may see or hear fireworks earlier in the day, you haven't missed the show. Along with various competitions that take place during the week long Convention, PGI members enjoy open shooting (of fireworks) nearly everyday of the Convention. It's never too late to become a member and take part in everthing that the PGI Convention has to offer.

What to Bring

Fireworks can be loud, so you may want to bring hearing protection. Vendors will be serving food and beverages onsite. No outside food, beverage, coolers will be allowed. Tailgating is not permitted.

Don't forget your pre-printed tickets. Tickets are required for each person entering the North Iowa Events Center. If you want to purchase tickets at the gate, please have cash or credit card in hand as you enter the parking lot.



Tickets are required for each person entering the North Iowa Events Center. Traffic, on show nights, will be limited to passenger cars, vans and pickups. No motor homes, campers or buses will be admitted without previous arrangements. The general public must enter and exit the Events Center using the road off of Roosevelt Street, between Target / Staples and Mills Fleet Farm.


Grandstands only. Seating is general admission on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. General admission seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. No seats in general admission may be saved. On Friday night, both general admission and reserved seating are available. No chairs permitted (small bleacher / stadium chairs are permitted).


Parking for the event at the North Iowa Events Center is free. Handicapped parking will be available to those with appropriate parking permits. No tailgating.


After the shows, all traffic will exit, in 2 lines, via the east entrance to Roosevelt Ave. Traffic will separate into 3 lines at the intersection of Roosevelt Ave and Hwy. 122. Mason City P.D. will provide traffic control and use traffic lights to manage the flow of traffic.


Residents should expect delays along Hwy 122 West and are encouraged to use alternative routes to keep delays to a minimum. Left hand turns East Bound on Hwy 122 into the North Iowa Events Center will be closed during the Convention. The front entrance will also be closed.

Due to the large number of people expected to attend the PGI convention and the nightly fireworks shows, organizers ask that drivers please obey all traffic restrictions and drive carefully.
