Hand Rolled Chocked Rocket Casings and Time Fuse Demonstrations
|
Before clay and hydraulic presses, rocket casings were rolled wet and
chocked to form the nozzle..
Roy
shows the correct technique for the process.
The second demonstration is a technique for hand rolling time
fuse. The third
demonstration is an original method of making black match.
These are unique demonstrations of processes that were once
regularly used in the industry, but now have been supplanted by modern
techniques and machines.
Participants will make a hand rolled time fuse and test burn it.
One class member gets to crimp a 4-lb rocket case.
Very Cool!

Tourbillion's

Tourbillions (also known as “geysers,” whirlwinds," “revolving rockets,”

the ground before quickly rising into the air with a large canopy of
sparks. In this seminar,
participants will learn how to make a traditional 4-hole tourbillion and
have the opportunity to make one in the 1-pound size (3/4 inch bore)
that they can fire that evening.
